U.S. Paralympics Nordic Skiing (USPN) is excited to announce the 2024-25 National Para Nordic Development Race Series. This series will take place throughout the entire winter and includes events are hosted by Nordic ski & biathlon clubs across the country. We will track participation and results to award series’ winners for the top 3 athletes with the greatest number of points at the end of the season. All classes and genders will be combined to determine the overall top three award winning positions. Details, including the races included in this race series can be found below.

*Information on FIS Para Nordic Skiing License
- No registration is necessary.
- Classification: points for this series will be calculated after FIS Para Nordic Factor Percentages have been applied to athletes' finishing time. If an athlete has not been classified, they will be in the highest class in their category, (VI category – B3, Standing category - LW4, Sitting category – LW12).
- Athletes will be required to hold appropriate race licenses for the races they compete in.
- National Team & Development Team members will not be considered in scoring and are not eligible for prizes
Overall awards will be given to the top 3 athletes (all classes and genders combined) who have the greatest number of points at the end of the season. In addition, there will be a Rookie Award to a first-year racer with the greatest number of points. Points can be earned in the following ways:
- 3 points for finishing a National Para Nordic Race Series competition, (up to 5 races in either biathlon OR cross country.)
- Points for top three in each class per gender (men’s sit, women’s sit, men’s stand, women’s stand, men’s visually impaired, women’s visually impaired):
- 3 points for racing in any additional cross-country skiing or biathlon race/s between November 15, 2023-March 31, 2025 (the maximum number of points one can earn in this way is 15).
Athletes are responsible for reporting bonus points by emailing bethann.chamberlain@usopc.org with the following information:
- Event name
- Event date
- Event location
- Link to results
The deadline for submitting bonus points requests is April 1st, 2025!
